Nomenclature
  • Cerrena Gray, A natural arrangement of British plants 1: 649 (1821). Type: Sistotrema cinereum Pers., Neues Magazin für die Botanik 1: 109 (1794) [superfluus name], synonym of Cerrena unicolor (Bull.) Murrill, Journal of Mycology 9 (2): 91 (1903).
Taxonomy
The taxon Cerrena drummondii (Klotzsch) Zmitr. is apparently treated currently as Trametes drummondii (Klotzsch) Ryvarden [name illegitimate]. None of the other name transfers by Zmitrovich into Cerrena are used.
