These checklists are generated from our research database of collections and observations for the Chicago Region from 1994 to the present. Some of the names on these lists may not be the most current. Some of these species require more documentation. These lists give the most recorded names for that month. For example, August has the most fungi with over 900 recorded but the checklist gives the most common of these names.
