This family has 26 genera as first delimited (Rossman et al. 1999) and a slightly different list of 27 genera in Lumbsch & Huhndorf (2007). The combined list is given below showing removals and more additions.
One species of the genus Nectriopsis has been found on forays in the Chicago Region.
